In the coming months leading up to the primary, I don’t want to ask you for your support – I want to earn it. I want to earn it by first earning your trust, your confidence, and proving myself to you with my hard work, and my commitment.

Hard work is the one thing I am good at. It is at the center of everything I do. It is how I keep my businesses afloat, and how I feed my family. I am sure all of you feel the same way. We work hard so we can live free.

​

But our hard work and our freedom is being trampled every day by the Legislature, and I want to help stop that.

​

When it comes to going to Salem, I plan to vote NO, and a lot. And you have my word that I will take advantage of every opportunity I can to undo burdensome regulation, costly taxes, and other government overreach that threatens our way of life.

But I call this passive legislating, and I want to be an active legislator.

​

So, what’s the difference?

​

In my mind, passive legislating is just that. You drive to Salem, you vote, you mix and mingle with the lobbyists, then you go home. We have enough of that as it is, in my opinion.

​

Active legislating, or active leadership, is staying in constant communication with your constituents, your community and civic groups. It is making sure you are accessible and responsive. I see myself as just that – your representative.

​

That means my job is to listen to you, work for you, advocate for you, and keep you informed about issues moving through the Legislature. My job is to empower you with information and resources to achieve your own goals and objectives in our community.

I see leadership as the ability to work hard for others, to provide people with what they need to be successful. You have my word that I will do just that.
