ON THE ISSUES
Putting Rural Oregon First
Here it is in writing.

If elected, I want you to hold me to my word.
As your elected representative in Salem, I will:
Support all legislation that makes Oregon a better place to do business by reducing regulations, fees, and other impediments to business creation, as well as create incentive structures for communities that are objectively probusiness.
Always support lowering taxes and capping tax rates for retired seniors. I will never vote to increase taxes. Instead, I will seek to identify savings in the budget. Oregon needs to learn to live within its means. Should a tax be proposed out of fiscal necessity, I pledge to only support referring it to the ballot so that all Oregonian taxpayers can decide.
Support Oregon’s natural resource industries – major drivers and employers in Oregon, especially in Senate District 6;
Support greater public access for hunting, fishing, and recreation on public lands;
Support Oregon working families’ ability to buy a home and build equity in their community;
Restoring faith in the integrity of our elections is of the utmost importance. We must secure our elections by requiring voters to prove their identities, conducting robust post-election audits to ensure accurate counts, and prohibiting practices such as ballot harvesting.
Always support family freedom and parental choice when it comes to the child’s welfare and education;
As a father of two, I will vote to support life and bringing children into the world. I will also support incentives and initiatives that help mothers during and after pregnancy.
As a gun owner who relies upon a firearm for personal safety while managing livestock, I will always support and defend your right to own firearams. Owning firearms is a constitutional right. As a rancher, It is my right to own and carry one, and it is your right, too. I will never support any legislation that seeks to limit, regulate, or impede that right.
As someone who has served the homeless and the poor, I will always keep and maintain a compassionate and understanding heart when it comes to helping them, but I believe that everyone must be held accountable for actions that negatively affect our society, such as public drug use.
Support our police officers and public safety personnel.
Support our farmers and ranchers by reducing regulations that cause farmers and ranchers to incur additional costs, support initiatives that secure our food supply, and support efforts to expand and preserve family farms and ranches for generations to come.
These are not the only issues I care about. I encourage you to review this policy document to better understand how I think and the values that guide me. Most importantly, it is a document you can hold me accountable to when I am elected.
I want to hear from you. What issue is not on here that you believe should be? Feel free to reach out to me.
